The forest is an area of indigenous trees and natural habitat: expect hiking, walking in forest trails, wildlife and bird-watching (birds, monkeys, antelopes, forest mammals) and nature scenery.
The forest area is somewhat remote compared to central Addis good physical condition (walking/hiking fitness) is often required. Some tours note that people with serious cardiovascular issues or mobility problems should consider carefully.
Infants or very young children: many tours require infants to sit on an adult’s lap; specialized seats may or may not be available.
Tour size: some tours limit participants (e.g. max ~15 travellers) when using a guide + shared vehicle.

Birdwatching (especially morning/early afternoon, Photography: giant juniper and Hagenia trees, wildlife and visit the small streams or caves deeper in the forest
Depart around 2:30–3:00 PM to avoid evening traffic and optional stop in Sebeta for tea/snacks
