What To Expect

Day 1: Juba Arrival and Mundari Cattle Camp

Upon arrival at Juba International Airport (JUB), you will be met by your guide and assisted with local registration. After a brief city orientation and lunch in Juba, depart for a 2-hour drive into the bush to reach a Mundari cattle camp. Arrive as the sun begins to set and the herders return with thousands of long-horned Ankole-Watusi cattle. Witness the evening rituals, including the cleaning of the cattle and the lighting of dung fires to ward off insects. Overnight in a mobile camp or return to Juba depending on the season.

Day 2: Morning Rituals and Juba City Exploration

Wake up at dawn to witness the most photogenic part of the journey: the Mundari morning routine. Observe the herders massaging their cattle with ash and the unique bond between the community and their livestock. After a late breakfast, return to Juba. Spend the afternoon exploring the capital, including a visit to the Konyo Konyo Market, the Jubek Tomb, and the White Nile bridge. Finally, transfer to the airport for your evening departure flight.
